Hey everyone! We hope you’re enjoying the first batch of chapters. It’s been a wild ride getting everything working for a launch that big. Some hiccups overnight, but the site survived! Over 100k views in the first 12 hours is… a lot for any new site to handle. Guiltythree is lucky to have such phenomenal fans!
Now that things are settled, we wanted to share a bit about how releases and membership will work as well as an update on the app (Apple is being tough but it literally can be approved any hour now):
When do Shadow Slave Episodes Release?
- Shadow Slave released on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 9:00 PM. The webcomic released with 5 episodes, with the first 4 being free and the 5th requiring Member Access (See Below). New Episodes will release for Members every Wednesday at 9:00 PM EST unless stated otherwise.
How do I get Member Access?
- There are two options:
- Shadow Slave Season 1 Pass – A one time payment of $35 USD (Currently $30 USD to celebrate the launch), provides access to all 50-60 episodes of content within the first season of Shadow Slave as they release weekly. That’s a year’s worth of content!
- Monthly Subscription – A Monthly payment of $2.99 USD per month gives you access to Shadow Slave Episodes as they release weekly.
Why Should I Pay?
- Our goal is to create a straightforward monetization system that isn’t built around ads or coins. Why? Webcomics in the English Language have become very tough to create sustainably for many reasons, including freemium pay systems and piracy. Webcomics are VERY expensive. There is a reason many webcomics get cancelled or dropped before they are finished. We want that to change.
- We want to be able to adapt Shadow Slave and other properties for years to come, both for reader enjoyment and to grow the followings of fantastic authors like Guiltythree. A more simplified style of monetization also allow royaltes to flow clearly and directly into the hands of creators.
Will there be a Mobile App for the website?
- Yes, there will be an iOS App and an Android app through the Google Play store
- iOS is expected to be released any day now.
- Android is expected to be released a week or so after the iOS version releases.
